Projects

Since 2000 Ascent Training Services' major focus has been in the area Road Safety Education with a particular emphasis on young driver education and behaviour change.

Projects the company has completed or involved with include:

  • Development and piloting of the curriculum for the  National Novice Driver Project - Australian Transport Safety Bureau, NSW RTA & Vic Roads
  • Delivery of the Road Ready Program which is a 10 hour pre-Learner Licence program, to raise awareness of how to manage driving - Department of Territory and Municipal Services, ACT Government. 
  • Delivery of the Road Ready Plus Program (a 3 hour Road Safety workshop for Provisional Licence Drivers in the ACT) - Department of Territory and Municipal Services, ACT Government.
  • Delivery of  the Road Ready program to the Wreck Bay Aboriginal community - Jervis Bay Administration
  • Development and delivery of  the Street Whys road safety intervention for at risk and marginalised youth in the ACT - NRMA ACT Road Safety Trust.
  • Development of the Facilitator Induction Training manual for the NSW Sober Driver Program -Corrective Services NSW
  • Develop an eLearning program for backup support and refresher training of NSW Sober Driver Program facilitators - Corrective Services NSW
  • Conduct Train the Trainer and Refresher Training for NSW  Sober Driver Program -Corrective Services NSW
  • Administer the QA for Sober Driver Program throughout NSW-Corrective Services NSW
  • Development of Heavy Vehicle, Car and Motorcycle Instructor Assessment Instruments - Australian Transport Safety Bureau
  • Development of a Heavy Vehicle On-Road Licence Test for AustRoads
  • Adapting the Australia Post Motorcycle Rider training program to bicycle training, both pedal and electric bicycles - Amy Gillett Foundation
  • Designed, developed and delivered a national road safety program for year 11 and 12 students nationwide - RRT / Oneschool
