Training Facilitators for Safer Drivers Course
This training is for the delivery of Module 1 of the Safer Drivers Course.
Only facilitators engaged by an accredited provider of the NSW Safer Drivers Course are eligible to enroll.
To be eligible to attend the course
- You must be engaged by an Accredited Provider of the NSW Safer Drivers Course for Learner Drivers
- Payment for the course must be made prior to commencing the course
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) or an Australian degree or diploma in education
- Minimum 12 months experience
- Completed Working with Children Check
Note: Ascent Training Services P/L is an RTO (No. 88096). However, the NSW Safer Drivers facilitator training course is NOT a nationally accredited VET course, and completion of the course does not result in receipt of a nationally recognised qualification.
How to make a booking?
Paying by Invoice
- Download and complete the enrolment form
- Email the form to admin@ascenttrainingservices.com.au
- Invoices must be paid within 7 days or prior to the commencement of the course whichever is soonest.
- An invoice is sent within 2 working days to the biller details stated on the form
- Once the invoice is paid an email will be sent to the participant confirming the date, time and location of the course.
Paying by Credit Card
- Select the Book Now button
- Available dates and locations will be displayed
- Select the Book Now button next to the course of your choice
- A registration box will appear
- Enter the participant details, the person attending the course, please ensure all information is completed any missing information will not allow you to continue with the booking
- Press OK button to confirm details
- Select the Checkout at the top right of the screen
- Under billing details please enter the details if not the same as the participant on where the payment receipt is to be sent
- Select Continue
- Select Continue to Secure Checkout
- Enter the Credit Card Details, payment is confirmed immediately
- 2 emails will be sent, confirmation email to the participant, confirming the dates, times and location of the course and an email to the billing details confirming payment with a receipt attached
Alternatively, you can call the office 02 6103 0463 Monday to Friday 9am-5pm we can take your details over the phone and payment can be made via either method.
How to make changes or cancel a booking?
Changes
- Transfers/Re-bookings - Clients wishing to transfer a confirmed booking between course dates will only be accepted with 7 days' notice. Any changes without correct notice will be subject to a $100 administration fee per participant.
- Substitution - Attendee substitution may be made with no additional charges.
- Late or Failure to Attend a Course - Participants must be present at the starting time of the course and for all sessions of the course. Failure to do so will require the participant to be booked onto another course and pay the full fee again.
- Course Suitability - The Client accepts that it is their responsibility to ensure that the course meets the needs of the participant. If the Client has any doubts about the suitability of the course they should contact the office.
Cancellation Fee
- Cancellations are required in writing and can be emailed to admin@ascenttrainingservices.com.au
- Cancellation fees apply to those who haven't given sufficient notice in writing

- Less than 7 days notice - $100 cancellation
N.B: Cancellation fees will be discussed on an individual basis
Refunds
- Should be requested in writing and can be emailed to admin@ascenttrainingservices.com.au
- Can only be returned via the method received, except cash this will be refunded via cheque.
- Refunds will be confirmed within 2 working days and we will consider any fee's or outstanding balances.

Credit Card - a Visa or MasterCard payment can be accepted online or over the phone
Cheques -should be made out to Ascent Training Services and posted to PO Box 7181, Watson, ACT, 2602
Electronic Funds Transfer -Once an enrolment form is received and the EFT payment method is requested we shall email an invoice with all the payment details. Payment terms are strictly 7 days or prior to commencement of course whichever is soonest.

Arriving Late and Leaving Early
Participants must be present at the starting time of the course and for all sessions of the course. Failure to do so will require the participant to be booked onto another course and pay the full fee again.
Both training day are full day sessions 9am-5pm, with registration 15 minutes to course commencement. Dates and times will be discussed at the time of booking and an email will be sent at the time of book to confirm. We will also send a courtesy text reminder a few days prior to the course. Please organise travel accordingly so you will not arrive late and have to leave early.
Group Sizes
Groups will never be larger than 12 participants, minimum of 6 per course. Every effort is made to ensure courses are run as per schedules, occasionally it is necessary for courses to be cancelled or rescheduled, such as insufficient numbers. If this occurs you will be offered an alternative course date, which would be rescheduled at your convenience based on availability, or a full and prompt refund. We will endeavour to give at least 2 days' notice prior to the course start date. Ascent Training Services PTY LTD is not responsible for any expenses incurred by you because of such cancellations.

Resources
What to bring? -Please bring a Primary ID such as a driver licence to confirm attendance at registration.
Lunch -Lunch will be provided with tea and coffee available during breaks. Any dietary requirements should be reported to Ascent prior to course commencement.
All books and course materials will be provided at registration and a course completion certificate at the end of the day.
